A visual unifier.

In 2020, the Australian Stroke Alliance’s $40 million program drew together over 30 national agencies committed to delivering urgent stroke care to patients before transporting them to hospital. For all Australians, the Alliance creates a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver stroke care in a fairer way, no matter a person’s postcode. There was a particular focus on rural, remote and Indigenous communities. The Alliance needed to share the significance of a national project while garnering community support.

Our brandmark for the Alliance takes inspiration from the contours and colours of Australia’s sunburnt landscape. This integrates the national agenda, with dots patterned to reflect brain shapes, highlighting the program’s focus – stroke – speed and scientific rationales. A deliberately strong typeface contrasts the design and lends a credible, visual strength. Blueboat are thrilled to bring to life the Alliance’s strategic focus.
