Research Centre Reception with OnStone.

Yarra Valley Grammar School’s new Research Centre brings a new heart to the School. The double height contemporary foyer features a blend of wood and concrete.  Blueboat were commissioned to design an installation for this main reception area to acknowledge Yarra’s Founding Fathers.

The Blueboat installation uses an intentional journey pattern based around beautiful tiles. The design takes visitors on a journey from past to present, featuring archival images and current students. We worked with the team at OnStone, who handmade reclaimed timber and stone composite tiles. The impact is a unique installation, with a distinctive character, both complementing the architecture and welcoming visitors to Yarra.
